Welcome to my ePortfolio!

My name is Alicia Dumont, and this is a space to learn more about me, my education, as well as, my knowledge and experiences that have shaped me into the person I am today. In 2021, I graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in English. I enjoy skiing, boating, and hiking with my family and friends in my spare time.

As part of the graduating class of 2023, I recently joined the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) at the University of New England. My ambition to become a nurse stems from an innate desire to positively contribute to the well-being of others and my community. Since I was a young girl, I have participated in many charitable efforts, such as collecting and donating necessities and volunteering at the Preble Street Resource Center. I was a girl scout for many years and participated in multiple campaigns to raise money and awareness for diseases and disabilities. These experiences nurtured my compassionate, empathetic, and compassionate nature. Being a nurse would allow me to use these qualities to make a profound difference in the world, one patient at a time. Genuinely inspired to become a nurse, I plan to commit my life and use my strengths to ensure the best possible patient care. Nursing is more than simply a desired profession for me; it is my life’s calling.

With this space, I hope to demonstrate the experience, expertise and knowledge I have acquired during my past and now at the University of New England to ensure the best patient care.
